e-vo optimized
Initiative with manufacturers and operators for a stable and reliable charging infrastructure
Key factors for the success of e-mobility are correctly configured and stable and reliably functioning charging stations. e-vo eMobility GmbH and its employees have more than ten years of experience in the operation of over 10,000 charging points and over 5,000 SIM cards and contribute these experiences together with the operators to a best-practice list of requirements.
The integration of more than forty manufacturers into our system shows that the e-vo backend was (usually) able to integrate standard-compliant charging stations without any problems.
This is how your charging station e-vo optimized
Now we are going one step further in terms of operational management and want to achieve a deeper integration into the e-vo system beyond the standards. The aim is to cooperate with manufacturers to ensure seamless integration of charging stations into our backend system and thus improve the overall reliability of the charging infrastructure.
We have developed clear technical criteria that help manufacturers and us to integrate their products perfectly into the e-vo system landscape. The programme consists of several profiles covering specific requirements, starting with the basic functionalities and configurations.
e-vo Profile 1 describes the necessary basic parameters of a charging station and helps to get the best out of the charging stations in a manufacturer-neutral way.
e-vo Profile 2 optimizes the rollout and helps suppliers and manufacturers to set the right parameters and values to enable quick and smooth commissioning together with the e-vo backend.
Further profiles, for example on ISO15118 or SmartCharging, are planned and will be published here. A charging station is in each profiles ‘e-vo optimized’ if the Must-Criteria of the profile fully supported. The profiles distinguish between necessary (“must”/“mandatory”) and expected (“shall”/“shall”) parameters. For future versions of this document, “Should” parameters may become mandatory. New parameters are introduced as ‘should’ parameters, and optionally mandatory in later releases.

Basic functions
The ‘basic functions’ are defined as the settings and skills necessary to cooperate perfectly with the e-vo backend. If you, as a manufacturer, wish to have the status ‘e-vo Optimized Profile 1’ confirmed, fill in the file provided here (Excel) per product and send it to optimized@e-vo.at. Another advantage: The linked file can be used for tenders.
